1. Marshals (Thurs - Sun)
Marshals are used for crowd and noise control, as well as spotting balls throughout the golf course for Tour players.
Shift Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday only.
Time Commitment: A minimum of two (2) four hour shifts are required to receive volunteer benefits.
Duties: Crowd control, controlling noise, ball spotting. Position may involve measuring driving distance for Tour players (instruction provided).
Skills Required: A good eye and understanding of golf is beneficial.
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament. The committee chair will provide instruction and information sheet for volunteers.

2. Scoring (Thurs - Sun)
The scoring committee is the largest committee of the tournament. There are numerous positions available in the scoring committee: Walking Scorers, Standard Bearers, and Leaderboards. Standard Bearers are a great volunteer opportunity for younger volunteers (aged 12+).
Shift Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 4 - 7).
Time Commitment: A minimum of two (2) four hour shifts are required to receive full volunteer benefits
Duties: Walking Scorers - Walk eighteen holes with a group and enter scores. Standard Bearers - Walk eighteen holes carrying a small, lightweight leaderboard. Leaderboards - Updating leaderboards around the golf course. Runners - Running scorecards from players to scoring central
Skills Required: A knowledge of golf is helpful, but not necessary.
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament. The committee chair will provide instruction and information sheet for volunteers.

3. Volunteers (Thurs - Sun)
Members of the volunteer committee assist with the registration of volunteers each day, handing out volunteer materials. Some volunteers may also assist by working the admissions table and other required positions if necessary.
Shift Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 4 - 7)
Time Commitment: A minimum of two (2) four hour shifts.
Duties: Register volunteers on-site and provide manpower support to all other committees as required.
Skills Required: Flexible, don't mind doing a variety of jobs, enjoy interacting with volunteers
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament. The committee chair will provide instruction and information sheet for volunteers.

4. Transportation (Mon - Sun)
Volunteers on the transportation committee drive players to the course, host hotel and airport. This committee may also be required to transport spectators.
Shift Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (August 1 - 7).
Time Commitment: A minimum of two (2) four hour shifts are required
Duties: Driving golf professionals from hotel and airport to the host course. Driving spectators from parking location to host course. Vehicles are provided.
Skills Required: Valid drivers license.
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament. The committee chair will provide instruction and information sheet for volunteers.

5. RBC Blue Water Stations
Provide assistance in distributing water at RBC Blue Water Stations
Shift Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (August 2 - 7)
Time Commitment: Minimum 4 hour shifts
Duties: Provide assistance in distributing water at RBC Blue Water Stations
Skills Required: Outgoing personality
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament. The committee chair will provide instruction and information sheet for volunteers.

6. On-Course Services (Thurs - Sun)
Volunteers on the On-course services committee are responsible for the following: refilling water coolers for players, performing volunteer check-ins throughout the course, shuttling marshal and scoring volunteers to course locations, refilling water and fruit for players.
Shift Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 4 - 7).
Time Commitment: A minimum of two (2) four hour shifts are required to receive full volunteer benefits
Duties: Refilling water, fruit and ensuring on-course volunteers are receiving food and water, as well as shuttling volunteers and their replacements to on-course locations as required.
Skills Required: Knowledge of the Fort McMurray Golf Course, ability to operate a golf course, golf etiquette to ensure tournament play is not disrupted during on-course service operations.
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

7. Operations (Jul 27 - 28, Aug 4 - 7)
Operations volunteers are required to help set-up in advance of the tournament, assist with on-course operations during the tournament week and complete tear-down activities during and following the final round of the tournament.
Shift Days: July 27, July 28, August 4, August 7
Time Commitment: A minimum of two (2) four-hour shifts are required to receive volunteer benefits.
Duties: Set-up course signage, roping, and flagging. Assist with tear-down activities on the final Sunday of the tournament.
Skills Required: Ability to perform physical labour and follow instructions.
Training: Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament. The committee chair will provide instruction and information sheet for volunteers.

8. Corporate Chalet (Thurs - Sun)
Volunteers are required to check-in patrons to the Corporate Chalet (VIP area)
Shift Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 4 - 7)
Time Commitment: Four to six hours per shift
Duties: Managing incoming tickets, providing information to patrons
Skills Required: No skills required.
Training: Instruction will be provided by committee chair in advance of the tournament.
